Introverts are their own species. We are very different animals, and function in a very different way. If you find yourself about to get into a relationship or you are already in one with one of these actually, not so rare people, you're going to need to know a few things. The first thing you need to know about introverts is that we need alone time. It's nothing against you - it's just the way we're wired.

So don't be upset if we tell you it's time to go or leave us in peace, and please don't make us feel bad about it! We need that time to recharge, and you will surely reap the benefits of that. You never really know what's about to go down when you pick up a phone call, and it seems a lot like confrontation. With a text, you have an unlimited amount of time to read, process, and reply. Also, never call me from a random number because I promise I won't be answering.
All things that introverts do, they do it with all of them. So when we're feeling an emotion, be prepared, because it is going to take us over. Reading a sad book can have me crying for the rest of the night.

I cried during the Secret Life of Pets. Don't worry, we're not only going to be overly sad, we can be really, really happy too. Nothing gets me like a good movie and some take out does. Sometimes okay, most times we just want to stay in and relax. Hair up, sweats on, and source comfort of home is a introvert's paradise. We don't need much to be entertained, and it's better if you know that before dating us.
All we need is you, Netflix, and some kick-ass pizza. We love talking about the things we are passionate about. Whether it be our job, our hobby, or just life in general, we can definitely more info. Be careful though, because we might just go on for hours.
Though it may be surprising, introverts do like to travel. We love learning about new destinations and having new experiences, especially when we can share it with you.
New places can be thrilling for us because each face we meet is new. It is quiet and calm, and we can finally sense some freedom. We definitely don't think we are any better than you, or anyone for that matter, so we don't want you to act that way. We love confident people, but it can be a little disheartening when we feel so insecure about small talk.
However, being confident is different from being cocky, and we expect you to know that difference.

Don't ask us about the weather, or a sports game we definitely didn't watch. Introverts can talk for hours about the real stuff so we don't like to waste time on the things no one cares about.

Introverts don't do well when last minute plans are thrown at them. We need time to process and prepare ourselves for the outing. Try not to drop by at random, either.
It's likely that we have already mentally planned our time, which included reading that book, catching up on our fav series, and taking a nap. Introverts and surprise people stuff just doesn't do well.
Seriously, we kinda want you to cancel plans with us sometimes.
